Hi Ya Guys.
I clean out storage units in Ruidoso New Mexico.
I came across this key that has great historical significance.
This key is to room 103 and the Berchtesgadener Hof Hotel.
Before the Nazis bought it, it was called Grand Hotel Augusta Victoria. 1936
And as far as my research goes, in 1936 the Nazis took it over and changed it to the Berchtesgadener Hof Hotel.
Some of the notable people that stayed there.
Adolf Hitler
Duke and Duchess of Windsor
British prime minister Neville Chamberlain
David Lloyd George
Joseph Goebbels
Heinrich Himmler
Erwin Rommel
Eva Braun
Field Marshal Albert Hesselring.
I've done the usual research about this particular key.
If I can find the hotel register, and find out who actually stayed in room 103, can you imagine the historical significance to this.
Plus this is the location of many of the significant surrenders after World War II.
This key is for sale.
I'm asking $400, or best offer.

Re: Key #103 To the Berchtesgadener Hof Hotel
Collecting prototype awards of the Third Reich I know first hand how hard it is to tie up some of the items with places and times they supposedly originated from. Not that keys are my main area of interest but I am sure I speak for few here when I say that it would be interesting to see the artifact and its supposed pedigree when it's offered here for sale.
Looking forward to it.
Matt
