I see, there are too many flags online with this stamp, but that doesn't mean anything.

I'm thinking of a reproduction from the early 1970s or the 1980s, these flags were offered worldwide by mail order companies from the USA, purely decorative objects for inclined "collectors" or veterans.

Please correct me, but your example is too "new" for my taste, old originals look different, sorry...

By the way, the flags didn't fall from a sky, they were captured, picked up, soiled and half-destroyed by Allied soldiers...

Old flags have a special smell, and I've always relied on that smell.
Sniff a hundred-year-old book, this smell of mold and decay is unique, not to be copied at all, with the old flags it's all very similar.
Our smell and our taste is a kind of time sensor, a very fine sense of discernment.

But the older you get, the more your fine senses disappear, it's all a matter of time...

I knew collectors in the early 1970's could tell old awards by "flavor" and this is no joke.
Taste and smell were and are our finest senses along with sight, many very large collections were built up in exactly this way, long before the years of today's literature, which was not available at that time...

Hmm I agree with you Hans1906 concerning this flag and markings. The **Reichskriegsflagge* stamp is a very common red flag caveat like these fake SS armbands, they overstamp them with every marking they can come up with

Another question I also am looking to buy a ww2 German flag but I don't know if it's fake or real what can or should I look for? Any advice?
