Yes, it is. That´s a later version of the Hf. 13 with an additional roasting and stewing unit instead of the storage compartment on the right side. Here a pic of a Hf. 13 with this unit.
Thank you for your help. Bert. The wheels of this version also seems smaller in diameter than those of the standard Hf.13 kitchen...

Hi Sturm,

The wheels are the same size. They might look smaller, from the angle in the photo you posted, as the roasting unit is taller. Everything to the left of the roasting unit is the same as a standard Hf.13.

Tim

WHAT A GREAT THREAD!

I have no great interest in field kitchens, and yet I have dipped in and out of this thread for the entire 11 years I have been on AHF.

This thread is over decade old and all but a hundred pages long. It has provided a large book worth of information on an otherwise overlooked subject that is barely, I suspect, covered in print.

It is threads such as this that justify not just sites and forums like AHF, but the internet as a whole.

CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS CONTRIBUTED TO THIS SUPERB THREAD AND KEPT IT PUMPING OUT NEW INFORMATION FOR YEAR AFTER YEAR. LONG MAY IT CONTINUE.

Respect,

Sid.

Hello Sid,
It's good to know that we guys working below decks on the Good Ship AHF are appreciated by those manning the battle stations. I infrequently venture outside the confines of the Ron Klages Board, but have been following your well thought out posts on the Waffen SS thread with interest .
Again thanks for recognizing the fact that those of us interested in arcane matters such as field kitchens, logistics vehicles, trailers, automobiles, etc. are appreciated here rather than just tolerated.
Cheers,
Max

Not seen this bracket before, mounted on the side, behind the wheel on a Hf.13.

Any idea as to its purpose, Tim? Stir paddle holder?

No sorry. It could be a holder. Guessing it's a field modification, as I've not knowingly seen it before in 100's of other photos.

Hi Sturm 78,

very interesting pics. Thanks a lot for posting.
Image 1: You are right, that´s a captured French firld kitchen (cuisine roulante-remorque) with the designation M 1916 - 1936 M. 38.
(source of the pic: http://www.tm-ww2.com/product_info.php? ... cts_id=163)
Image 2: for me it is a Sd. Anh. 401, normally used by the Luftwaffe, but also by police troops.
(source of the pic: an expired ebay auction).

Best regards

Bert
