Hello again,
I was set to reply to ilfil's last post, but uncle beat me to it. Just to outline my thoughts, if it was a very small production run it is not feasible for such major changes to take place. The whole cab and the wheels are different on George's photo, compared to the two I posted and the one ilfil kindly added, so it does point towards George's being something else. It is very difficult, I know, to find good source material for French vehicle's from the turbulent days of 1940 with war looming in Europe and the two types are of a very similar appearance at first sight. As I said, I had no idea what the real tanker was, I was just sure that it was not an S 45 TL.
