Re: ► Photothread: Wehrmacht fuel tankers
Hi Sturm,
It is, I believe a Leyland Beaver. Although not produced specifically for the military a number of impressed civilian Beaver bowser/tanker lorries accompanied the BEF into France. Their fate was the same as a huge number of other British and French vehicles, to see out their days in service of the Wehrmacht.
Cheers,
Kerry.

Re: ► Photothread: Wehrmacht fuel tankers
Hi Sturm,
I am very unsure on this, but it looks French, perhaps a Delahaye, maybe type 103?
If totally wrong, hopefully it will push someone towards the real answer.
Cheers,
Kerry.

Hi Kerry,
I tend to agree. Aside from some detail differences the basic lorry looks like a Delahaye 103 to me also.

Good stuff, Bert.
I was looking for a photo that clearly showed the Delahaye Triangle logo on the radiator.
