Hi Bill.

thanks a lot for the interesting pics You posted the last time. I have some doubts about the first Ford BB truck. Could it be an old Opel Blitz truck?

And I´m not sure with the Ford / GAS AA truck with the interesting body. I´m missing the typical twopiece bumper of GAS AA vehicles.

Regards

Bert

Hi Bert:
Sorry, you are absolutely correct on the Blitz, I mislabeled the photo and did not check what I posted carefully. As to the other question, you may be correct, it was sent to me identified as a Gaz/Ford but could well be a Ford/Ford. Some of the other photos with it were taken on the Eastern Front
I will try to post some more photos tonight when I get back to my house.

Here are a couple more ex ebay. Two 1935 models, a bus and a cargo truck. The bus is civilian, the truck may be civilian or issued to the Army

Hi,

a Ford dump truck or not, that´s my question. In the background a Ford BB.

Hi Bert:
The truck in the foreground I would ID as a Ford V3000s 1941 model with one of those odd cabs.
I am 2500 km from home in New York City at a trade show so cannot access my documents but I do not know what the other truck is just yet.

Hi Bill,

thank You very much for the fast ID of the Ford truck. It would be great, if You could ID the other truck.

So long, regards

Bert

Hi Bill,

a few days ago You posted a pic of a Ford / GAS truck with the interesting body: Now I´ve found the needed information to this truck, posted by Milan Szekelyhidi on 02 September 2004 under the thread "Captured vehicles pics needed":
A war correspondents truck passe the pontoon bridge at Dombrad – Cigand. The truck was originaly a Russian GAZ AA reconstructed with Hungarian superstructure. (Photo from Modell és Makett extra magazine) Milan

So I was wrong and You was right. Congratulations!

Hi Bert:
OK that maybe solves that one. Now, please go the the "Vehicle Identity Requests" portion of this of the forum and look at my latest.

I posted two photos of vehicles I identified as possible Gaz AA trucks but now I am thinking they are maybe a mix of Ford AA and Ford BB vehicles and I am a bit lost as to where they came from.

The single vehicle photo certainly seems to look a bit more like a BB and the multiple vehicle photo, of poor quality I admit, may contain a mix of the two.

Sometimes, I feel I have too many books and too many reference photos but I do not recall seeing this exact cab configuration before.
