Re: 88 mm guns on half-track chassis ?
This is an old Czech site.
The google translate from German to Czech to English suggests that in Poland the unit had all ten vehicles in its front-line establishment (none as reserve vehicles). Any idea how it was organised?
It includes about 5 less common photographs.

Here's another nice selection.
https://www.flickr.com/photos/130556552 ... 304140167/
Especially look at the second to last picture. Looks like a pz I command tank, two VK 901 and four BuFla's. So that will be 3rd company of Pz Jag Abt 559 in the Summer of 1942.

Hi Dave
That is a fantastic and very interesting photo, thanks for linking it up. The 2 unusual vehicles are actually the 2 VK1301 prototypes. This makes just the 3rd photo I have seen of these rare vehicles.

Re: 88 mm guns on half-track chassis ?
This should be a link to the four pages of photographs on the aforementioned Russian site.
photo.qip.ru/users/coast70/150188634/
I can't make it into a link - but if you enter it, it is worth the labour.
Look at image 0020 on page 3. We've seen an edited version of it described as being in France. Now that we can see more of the monument I wonder if it is in the "constructivist style" and is/was in Poland.
Does anybody know how to properly identify this monument/location?

Thanks, I've not seen that one before.
Assuming that it is WH 5103 in Belgium/France, it must be one of the last pictures of the vehicle intact.

Re: 88 mm guns on half-track chassis ?
Nice photos there - three of them are new to me.
The second photo seems to be WH 53003. If the sign on the building in the background does read LEPANGES then this BuFla is 250Km out of position - unless it passed this way after the French campaign was finished.
I think that the third and fourth must be on a training ground before the battle of France. It has gained the new headlights, front bumper and crosses that you don't see in Poland but it is very clean and has no chicken-wire or K for Kleist. - and the front fenders aren't beaten-up.
I think that the fourth picture is the first that I have seen with a cross on top of the bonnet.
Thanks for posting.

Re: 88 mm guns on half-track chassis ?
How rude of me. I didn't include the seller descriptions:
Aus der Nachlass einer Veteran der 4. (MG) Kompanie des Kradschützen-Bataillon 2 aus Bad-Kissingen.
Dieses Bataillon war Teil der 2. Panzer-Division.
Er kämpfte in Polen (1939), im Westfeldzug (1940) und Frühjahr 1941 auf d. Balkan.
photo 1:
zerstörte Panzer I und SdKfz 8 mit 8,8 cm Flak 18 Geschütz "Bunkerknacker" (nur 25 Stück gebaut!) i.d. Ardennen, Belgien / Luxemburg / Frankreich, 1940.
photo 2:
Flak 8,8 cm auf SdKfz 8 (teilgepanzert) bei Bahnhof Lépanges-sur-Volognes, Vosges, Frankreich, 1940.
Vermutlich der Panzerjäger-Abteilung 605 (Sfl.)

Re: ► Photothread: 88 mm Guns on Half-Tracks
I keep thinking that I must have seen all of the BuFla photographs by now. Then another collection comes along. Try this lot on Flickr from Panzer DB. Especially the one on a railway flat-car with all the kill-rings.

The back reads "Trzebinia 4.9.39" - a town in Poland.
