Concerning the ramps “Sander D” is correct as there are two sections to each ramp on the Sd.Kfz.10/4. These are attached together and fold out for use. The photo posted by “Peeved” shows the later Sd.Kfz.10/5 which did not have ramps.
I would strongly recommend the recently published Panzer Tracts No.22-1 on 1t Zgkw where there is first detailed explanation of the evolution of this Sfl combined with five pages of Hilary Doyle’s four view drawings covering each variant. There are also a couple of pages of Doyle’s drawings of the various 2cm Flak guns.
As I understand it here is brief (incomplete) summary the versions of the Sfl described in Panzer Tracts:
1)The 1939 production did not have the ramps and pulley system. The 1t Zgkw had the early “flat” wheels and the flak gun was the 2cm Flak 30 and there were no rifle racks on the front wings.
2)The 1940 version introduced the ramps and pulley system for dismounting the gun and open rifle racks were mounted on the wings.
3)In1941 covers were added to the rifle racks and new wheels appeared on the 1t Zgkw.
4)Starting in 1942 the 2cm Flak 38 started to be introduced alongside the 2cm Flak 30. Before the end of the Sd.Kfz.10/4 production the ramp system was dropped.
5)In 1943 the Sd.Kfz.10/5 was introduced – this had a wider platform for the 2cm Flak 38 and no ramps.
