Good evening!

Interesting photo, thanks. :)
I've never heard about such modification (not to mention seeing the photo). Still, wasn't this gun too heavy for C2P? What about the mobility of such SPG?

Best regards, Aleks

Hi Aleks,

The photo was the first I've seen of the mod. It indeed seems doubtful if the tiny chassis could stand the firing stresses or even allow enough room and stability for a full traverse. Maybe a field expedient to withdraw a gun whose lower carriage was damaged.

Regards,
Markus

.

Not from e-bay , but a interesting picture annyway

Here's a nice picture of a Latil truck on holtz gas towing a french tank trailer with a panzer IV on it in france 1944-1948.
I think that this panzer IV is on it's way to scrap heap.
Because the men are not soldiers ,and the truck has a french plate number.

For a better picture of it :

Pic came from http://lh5.ggpht.com/_AdeEckyUgCQ/SiJkG ... r%20IV.jpg

Hello Sander,

your wheeled tractor is a Latil. Here's the link of an interresting and useful Latil side (if you don't already know it):
