Re: Panzer Vorwärts !!!
Hello to all ; something more....................
Poland - Fall 1939! Parading through the village.
We see that both tanks carried the classic white cross used in the Polish campaign and on the turret first the numbers followed by the white cross. AFAIK the tanks could belong to the PR 2 (the PR 1 had the white cross first and then the numbers) - 1. Pz and the town could be Sochaczew?..........................

Does anyone have more details on the numbering of tanks in the 1 Pz? Cheers. Raúl M .

Wasn't it the usual - Kompanie - Zug - Wagen = 425; 400 - 404 Kompanie Stab; 01-07 = Leichte Zug?tigre wrote:Does anyone have more details on the numbering of tanks in the 1 Pz? Cheers. Raúl M .

Re: Panzer Vorwärts !!!
Hello Gerhard ; my little contribution......................
Numbering on the turrets.
PR 1 was easily recognizable by their white crosses followed by the white figures. The cross behind the turret is perfectly centered in all its vehicles. In this regiment, particularly, its 8. Company had a line under the figures...................
The PR 2 was recognized for having the white figures followed by the white crosses. In the Pz Kw III and IV the figures were smaller than in the PR 1.

Have you heard something different about it? Cheers. Raúl M .

Re: Panzer Vorwärts !!!
Hi Raul,
Many thanks for yr additional infos and the 2 pics.
No, I have no better idea. But I'm looking for strong sources. So, that means a documents or pics where it's very clear to which PzRgt the tanks belong.
Please also look here -----> http://www.forum-der-wehrmacht.de/index ... /?pageNo=1 to understand my question.
@ Bert, also thanks for the 2 links. But there I can't find strong sources for me questions.
BR, Gerhard
