Re: ► Photothread: German horse-drawn wagons
Hi Sturm 78,
that´s a Hf. 2. Here a pic out of the booklet Waffen-Arsenal Band 153 "Deutsche Infanteriekarren, Heeresfeldwagen und Heeresschlitten 1900 - 1945" by Wolfgang Fleischer. That´s a pic of a Hf. 2 of the 169th infantry division in the "Militärhistorisches Museum" of the Bundeswehr in Dresden.
Best regards
Bert

Hi Sturm 78,
interesting question. I think it is a so-called "Kleinfunkwagen" Nf. 4 (small radio wagon), here the rear wagon of this vehicle. For comparing a pic of ths vehicle out of the book "Bespannte Fahrzeuge des deutschen Heeres" by Wolfgang Fleischer.
Best regards

Re: ► Photothread: German horse-drawn wagons
Hi Max,
thank You very much for posting this very interesting pic. I think it is the Hf. 1/1 Nachrichtengerätwagen, a wagon with springs for transporting sensitive material like field telephones, radio sets and something like that.
Best regards

Re: ► Photothread: German horse-drawn wagons
Thank you for that information, Bert. It's funny that I've been here for about three years and never came across this thread before now! I've been posting any horse drawn stuff over in the Trailers thread
Cheers,
Max

Hi Sturm,
It is a Funkwagen or other type vehicle of an Infantry Signals Unit, not sure which Nf. designation (maybe Nf. 4 ).

Maxschnauzer, thanks for posting. I've never seen Nf. 4 opened up in action.
