Hi Sturm 78,
thank You very much for posting this pic. These are not German Backofenwagen (Vwf.1), but captured Czechoslovakian field bakery wagon M 1901. For comparing here a pic of a Backofenwagen (Vwf.1).
Best regards
Bert

Re: ► Photothread: German horse-drawn wagons
Thank you, Bert. The angle of the photo made identification difficult for me...Bert wrote

Re: ► Photothread: German horse-drawn wagons
Hi Sturm 78,
You are right, there are some differences. Here a pic of the schwere Feldhaubitz-Protze 02 out of the book "Bespannte Fahrzeuge des deutschen Heeres" by Wolfgang Fleischer. There is the information, that the box of the limber had two boxes for the transport of equipment, supplies and entrenching tools. There is no information about ammunition. Besides the height of this Protze is 1795 mm. But the vehicle on Your pic is higher I think. Unfortunately I have no information about an ammunition wagon for this gun.
Best regards

Re: ► Photothread: German horse-drawn wagons
Thanks, Bert...Yes, I think the height is larger (around 2m I would say) anf the wheels seems of a larger diameter too...

Hi Sturm 78,
I totally agree with You. On the site www.kfzderwehrmacht.de there is mentioned a "schwerer Feldhaubitz-Munitionswagen (Vorder- und Hinterwagen)"- "heavy field howitzer ammunition wagon (anterior and rear wagon)", but unfortunately no pic. Maybe that´s the vehicle on Your pic.
Best regards
Bert

Re: ► Photothread: German horse-drawn wagons
Hi Sturm 78,
a good pic and a good question. I think it is a Nf. 4 Kleinfunkwagen (small radio wagon), not the Nf. 2 leichter Fernsprechwagen (light telephone wagon), because there is a radio beside the wagon and the rear wagon has three seats and there is missing the typical signal equipment, rods and carrying frame.

Re: ► Photothread: German horse-drawn wagons
Hi Bert,
Thanks for your answer. It would be very useful have 3-view drawings of these wagons....to facilitate identification...
