Re: ► Photothread: Field Kitchens in Context
Hi Max,
to Your last field kitchen You posted. I think it is a Polish one, too. I assume it is the successor model 31 of the model 23. Here a drawing of this field kitchen. And You are right, it is a rotatable burner, like the round Czechoslovakian field kitchens.
Best regards
Bert

Photo taken in France, 1940. I assume it may be WW1 era French?

Hi Max,
in the book "L`automobile sous l´uniforme" by Francois Vauvillier I could find a pic of the same field kitchen just as on Your pic. It has the designation "cuisine roulante modèle 1917-1930". But I cannot say, if it is a model of WW I. Maybe it got some modifications.
Best regards

Hi Bert,
Thanks for that information and photo. Pics of that model are difficult to find, though I did manage to dig out this museum display, unfortunately without limber and undated: Speaking of Cuisine Roulant De la Grande Guerre I have another puzzle for you here:

Feldküche of the Kriegsmarine, Brest, Bretagne 1941. Sd. Ah. 401 on the right, I believe.
