Background information to these photos:

Malgache is a former French steamer from Bordeaux. It was taken over and used as a troop transport, as pictured here in Aarhus, Denmark (1944). The photographer is Luftwaffe Feldwebel, Ewald Kockmann. Kockmann was part of III./KG40.

This picture was taken in Italy. The French truck looks like it has a grey base coat with sand splotches, then lines of red-brown(?) are sprayed over top.
