Hello!
Best regards, Aleks
I'm curious when this photo was taken. The weather looks like summer or late spring. 1940 may be?Franzl Rider wrote:Polish 7tp with German civilians allowed to look into it. From ebay.

Re: Captured Polish vehicles in German service
It's time to add some photos of Polish softskins used by various German operators. Both photos show Polski Fiat 508/III Furgon pick-up. Probably both cars were ex-civilian vehicles captured by Germans in 1939 and recaptured in August 1944 during Warsaw Uprising (or shortly earlier). I'm not sure but both had something similar to Holzgas generator on the roof but there are no pipes. Can anyone identify this?
Polski Fiat 508/III Furgon with registration IV Ost 41134, captured by the soldiers of Armia Krajowa (Polish Home Army). Letters "WP" painted with white paint mean "Wojsko Polskie" - Polish Army.
Polski Fiat 508/III Furgon with "white 2", used as an ambulance and belonging to the Motorised Column "Wydra" of the "Krybar" Group in the gardens of the Conservatory (on Okólnik Street) in Warsaw, Powiśle district. Photo made during Warsaw Uprising, August or September 1944. Vehicles grouped in this garden were destroyed on September 6th, 1944 because could not be evacuated to another disctrict due to barricades.

Hi everyone!
Does anybody know this vehicle? It seems to be of WW1 vintage. Location: Poland, Sept. 1939.

Re: Captured polish armor in German service
You are right: it is de Dion Bouton 35CV - French 75mm AA gun mounted on the truck chassis from WW1. Polish army in 1939 had 8 of them and used them with some successes.Simperator wrote:Does anybody know this vehicle? It seems to be of WW1 vintage. Location: Poland, Sept. 1939.
