Vielen dank, Herr Heer Holston!
No problems to upload the pic for you, here it is:
Good picture but I'm in doubt this is armoured train, seems to me those are usual military transport trains and the most, if not all, platforms are of Russian origin (confirmed by the marking "DR Ru" visible on the side board of the platform loaded with Nashorn)
Thanks again anyway!
Cheers!

Re: ► Photothread: German armoured trains
Sorry ilfil, You are absolutely correct! That's what I get for perusing photo threads before bed!
Those aren't even armoured, unless you're sleepy , then the nashorn becomes part of the train!
Also are there any photos of a Geschutzwagon?
I didn't see any....through my eyelids!
I did enjoy seeing the photos of armoured trains in the west, by the river with US vehicles. You don't see many, I'm guessing not as needed and/or mostly destroyed by Allied air superiority.
Would love to see more in the west.
Why is it that most all are from Germany, Russia, Poland?

Re: ► Photothread: German armoured trains
I'm trying to identify the following German armored train units mentioned in a French document from the archives of the Seine-St-Denis department detailing the fighting around Paris in August 1944:
https://archives.seine-saint-denis.fr/I ... e_cnrd.pdf
1) Pantin [north-east of Paris suburb]
- "15 Août - Pantin - Un train blindé prend position entre le boulevard Mac-Donald et la gare de Pantin."
[August 15 - Pantin - An armored train took position between MacDonald Boulevard and Pantin train station]
- "25 Août - Pantin - Le train blindé quitte la commune. À partir de cet instant, on en perd la trace..."
[August 25 - Pantin - The armored train left town - From then on, its trace was lost ...]
2) "25 Août - Pierrefitte-sur-Seine - Un train, probablement un autorail blindé allemand, déraille."
[August 25 - Pierrefitte-sur-Seine [North of Paris] - A train, probably a German armored "Panzer Triebwagen/Draisine", derailed.]

Re: ► Photothread: German armoured trains
The Polish army ordered six Czech Tatra T18 armored trolleys in 1926 to support their armored trains as reconnaissance vehicles. The Czech army itself ordered only one. The Germans used captured trolleys. From this one, the machinegun has been removed. From ebay.
