Re: German trailers
Hi Henning,
thank You for posting this interesting pic with the trailer for the 24cm cannon 3. But the photographer wrote about a 30cm gun. So it must be another gun, but not German. In the book "Die deutschen Geschütze 1939 - 1945" by F. M. von Senger und Etterlin there is only this "Kanone 3" as a long barrel (Langrohr) gun. Sorry, I´m no expert in guns. But maybe one of us knows more about a 30cm gun.
Regards
Bert

Re: German trailers
Hi all,
The last image of Henning shows (99%) an 24cm K3 barrel trailer. The only other option could be a 35.5cm H M1
On the other hand a heavy 3-axle transport trailer:

Re: German trailers
Hi,
here a pic of a pontoon trailer. It could belong to the Czechoslovakian bridge equipment (Brückengerät T). (Source of the pic: expired ebay auction).

Re: German trailers
Hello all,
Could someone help me in identifying the trailer/barrel in the picture below. The trailer is the same as that used for the Skoda 42cm Haubitze but, although the picture is somewhat unclear, the barrel appears too long.
Many thanks,
Nezar

Re: German trailers
Hi all,
Can anyone identify the trailers used to transport the cranes used in the construction of large bunkers of the Atlantic Wall?
See http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 0&start=15 for the images.
It seems that there was two models of this trailer: a 12-axles trailer and an 8-axles trailer.
Does somebody know which was the maker of these trailers? Culemeyer ??
Is the crane transported on a single load ?
