Hi Max,

now to the Büssing bus You posted 19th December. I think it is the type 400 N, because the lights are on the fenders, and not on the bumper like the type 500. You can see it on Holgers site. But I have no idea what body style that is.

Best regards

Bert

Hi Luftflotte 2,

thank You very much for posting this very interesting pics (5th January).
On the first pic is a police personnel carrier. I think it is a Büssing-NAG type 80 N. Please have a look on Holgers site.

Best regards

Bert

Thank you Bert! the photographer must have been from Panzer Regiment 7 instead of the vehicle.

Hello Bert and thanks for your opinion. You may be right, as I don't have a reference photo for a ZB bus. I based my id on the ZP that Holger shows which looks the same to me. Unfortunately the radiator grille on the subject bus is obscured but to my eyes the AGP truck body looks smaller and narrower with a smaller windscreen area. I don't have any figures on wheelbases. I am posting all three pics toether for further comparison:

Thanks very much Bert. I believe you are spot on!

1. Ford chassis?

2. A speedy looking Isobloc W 240 hiding behind these Luftwaffe flak soldiers. Photo was taken by a propaganda company if I understand the seller correctly.

Hello Luftflotte,
For #1 maybe a Kromhout of some type? Very cool pic with the old sawmill in the backround.

Quite possible, did Kromhout build their own chassis or are they strictly a coach-builder? I guessed the chassis by going off the wheels - which look like a 30s Ford 5 bolt.

I didn't et a clear read on either the grille or wheels but on second look they look more like the Ford wheel than Kromhout's usual ten bolt pattern. AFAIK they built their own chassis and sometimes supplied truck engines to Autocar and others.

Interesting. Here's another unknown. I think it reads 'Büssing' on the front, but it lacks the typical spider style grill.

I've seen Büssings without their typical grille, as below. In this case you may be right but your eyes are certainly better than mine to read Büssing in that faint script.

With a few adjustments you can see a 'B', 'SS' and a 'G'. This model must be from the early 30s, or at least before the Büssing-Trambus.

In any case it would apparently preceed the 1934 merger with NAG.
