Re: Tiger panzer photos
Aleks, most of the people look like US personnel photoshopped in to me. In particular the "officer" standing on the crane trailer, he looks very US Navy.

Are the tanks real? Or are they just very good models?

Re: Tiger panzer photos
It seems that tanks are real, too much details for an average kits. Of course it can be kits in 1/35 scale or larger, made by the real professional, but I don't see any reason to put so much effort just to create one photo.

Thanks Piotr! If the photo was for 200 euros, I might see someone taking the time to do this.Piotr Mikołajski wrote:It seems that tanks are real, too much details for an average kits. The Tiger turret is on the deck and this officer is standing on it not the crane.

Re: Tiger panzer photos
The Tiger on the barge is '712' which reached the USA in July 1943
Tiger '712' at Aberdeen showing the missing cover on the turret.

The barge Tiger turret has the same cover missing (by the officers right foot).

The turret of '712' as unloaded at Aberdeen showing it was shipped seperately from the hull.

The markings on the side of '712' at Aberdeen

Markings on the barge Tiger.

2 other Tigers at New York harbour. The barge in the background is much like the one where we can see '712'

Re: Tiger panzer photos
Michael, good detective work!! I knew this photo had to be German Armour shipped back to the states from Africa or Italy-I just didn't have the evidence to back myself up.
(Plus, I'm glad that it turned out to be a real photo-Posting pics of models wouldn't make me look that good-haha)
All the best,
Arthur.
