Re: ► Photothread: Vehicles Of the Waffen SS
Hi Max.
I don't think that it is a combination Tractor + Trailer, it looks more like a low-bed truck with a closed cabin.
possible a Mercedes-Benz Typ L 5000 (L 35)
With kind regards
Bert

Hi Yuri and Bert,
thanks from me, too.
But I think it is a Mercedes-Benz type L 3750.

This LG 3000 seems to be having a little engine trouble, or maybe just cooling down while waiting in the queue. Interesting cab.

Hi Yuri,
Thanks for the photo. I've not seen these tankers before, somewhat similar to Kfz. 384's but with a closed cab and smaller tank. Any idea what they are?

Re: ► Photothread: Vehicles Of the Waffen SS
Are there any specific vehicles found only in the Waffen-SS and not in the Wehrmacht?
Cheers,
Sid

Re: ► Photothread: Vehicles Of the Waffen SS
Isn't "Vehicles of the Waffen-SS" really just a discussion about number plates?
Did the Waffen-SS field ANY different vehicle types to the Wehrmacht?
Was its soft-skin camouflage distinctively different?
It strikes that the only distinctive feature of Waffen-SS vehicles was the number plate and some formation signs.
Am I over simplifying things?
Cheers,
Sid.
