Re: Destroyed/Captured Panther tanks
Hi,
For the two ex-Paris Invalides Panthers, the Saumur data is not completely correct, both Panther are reported bu Saumur as being captured in the Battle of Dompaire, but it was only the Ausf G that was captured there, the Ausf A was captured in the Jardin du Senat in Paris at the Liberation.
Attached photo gives a better idea of the location of the Ausf A, there is also a third Panther behind these two and round the corner in the background.
cheers Spannermann

Re: Destroyed/Captured Panther tanks
As I stated at the beginning of the thread-thread topic:
"Panthers with new owners, or, seriously wrecked.
Do feel free to comment."
I am using this as a forum to share my captured/destroyed Panther picture collection-(which is large) for everyone to enjoy and comment. If anyone has some they would like to share-do jump in!
All the best,
Plus-three more pics:
1st-Not sure of the location.
2nd-Looks like spring 1945, Germany from the Ausf G mantlet.
3rd-This Panther appears burnt out with GIs climbing on it.

Re: Destroyed/Captured Panther tanks
What i do not understand, you copy many photos from the Panzer Archiv Forum.
Why don´t you write down the locations and units?
They were mostly given there.

Re: Destroyed/Captured Panther tanks
Previously 2 posted should have been ID-ed as Gruppe Fehrmann Panthers abandoned near Achum, Germany.

Re: Destroyed/Captured Panther tanks
These two are Panthers are from Panzer Brigade 112. One is a re-post from me that I should have ID-ed properly. Both shots are from Panzer Archiv.
