Last shot is from the movie 'Theirs is the Glory'. You might want to take a look at that movie.....

Re: Destroyed/Captured Panther tanks
These 2 Panthers are very likely from the first Heer abteilungs to arrive in Russia in fall 1943. Which ones, I am not sure. Similar numbering on both.

Re: Destroyed/Captured Panther tanks
More destruction in a Czech tank graveyard.
The flakpanther in Czechoslovakia. I always thought this vehicle was abandoned in the photos, but you do see the people staying away from it. This may be from before the German surrender.

Re: Destroyed/Captured Panther tanks
From this album there is a pic of a panther with two numbers 15 and 137, what's the purpose of the 15?

Re: Destroyed/Captured Panther tanks
That's a very good question. It sure wasn't 15th company, that's for sure!!.
Someone may have been lazy and not wanted to re-paint over a original radio call-sign. And there was never a 7th vehicle in a platoon, as well. These high numbers, though you see them sometimes, are something I could never understand--like "438" or "IN9".
But someone may pop up here with a perfectly good explanation.
