Hi,
here an interesting pic of a crane on a Pz III chassis, a field modification of the 6th Panzerdivision, in action during the summer 1943 (source of the pic: Waffen-Arsenal Special Band 22, "Panzerbergung im Zweiten Weltkrieg" by Markus Jaugitz).
Regards

A poor-quality photo, but of a very unusual vehicle. It is a Thornycroft Tartar Light Recovery vehicle with a manual crane, perhaps built in a base workshop of the British army, based on the 3-ton GS model.

Hi,
here a pic of a Büssing-NAG 4500 A with a Billstein crane. It is a late war version with some simplifications of production: dropped rear fenders, widely simplified front fenders, only four louvers stamped into the side plates of the engine bonnet and a narrower made bumper.
Best regards
Bert

Thanks for that great pic. Is this version considered a Kfz.100?

LKW 4,5 to mit Satz Abschleppgerät - rotary crane (lifting weight 3 to); chassis of the truck 4,5 to suitable for off-road driving with a set of tow instruments. Re: ► Photothread: German Cranes, Wreckers, Field Modifications
Thank you, Bert.
I believe this one I have in my archives is another late war 4500 A. Is that correct?
