Re: ► Photothread: Motorcycles of Wehrmacht
Hi, what is the official German name for this "bike-rail" lorry? Is there any information about it?

Re: ► Photothread: Motorcycles of Wehrmacht
Hi Sturm 78,
You are right, that´s not a German standard sidecar It is a Dutch sidecar used for transport and AA gun carriage. Here two pics of such sidecars out of the booklet "Holland paraat!" Materiell van het Nederlandse Leger 1939 - 1940" by Jan Giesberg/Rob Tas/ Antal Giesberg.
The text to the last picture: "Motorcycles with sidecar to be handed over to the German occupiers. The picture is taken in Heeswijk on 17th May 1940. The foremost sidecar still has the base of the anti-aircraft gun carriage."
Best regards
Bert

Hi Sturm 78,
Yes, I think like You, because the Dutch army had some BMW R12 motorcycles with these special sidecars.
Best regards
Bert

Hi Alif,
that could be a captured French Gnome & Rhone type AX II. Here a pic of this motorcycle (source: https://motos-of-war.ru/en/motorcycles/ ... one-ax-ii/).
