Re: ► Photothread: Umbauwagen
Armin, would those last two not be better placed in the "Beute" thread rather than the "Umbau" , there don't seem to have been any changes made to the basic British truck.

Hi Alan

Armin, leave them where they are, everyone will still see them and being Guy Ants they are fairly rare beasts so well worth looking at.

Hi all,
Does somebody know if the Germans used the designation Kfz.69 for the British captured vehicles modified as 3.7cm Pak gun tractors and ammo carriers as this Morris CS8 ?

Re: ► Photothread: Umbauwagen
Hello all,
I spotted this on eBay.de and had never seen one before. The back of the photo shows it was printed in 1975, but I suspect it was taken from a negative, clearly not a scan of a print. Has anyone seen a similar vehicle photo? Also, where would the base vehicle have been acquired, were these CMP Fords supplied to the USSR under Lend Lease? Is it an 8cwt or 15, it is hard to tell, and what might its Kfz identity be?
Anyway, an interesting photo,
Kerry.
