Hi Sturm 78,

according to the number plate the truck belongs to a Romanian unit I think. It cannot be a German one. Here two pics with Romanian Skoda truck for comparing (source of the pic: expired ebay auxctions).

Best regards

Bert

Hi Bert,

Umhhh...It is difficult to ensure. I have been looking in my archive for images of Romanian vehicles and I have seen that most of the registrations start with a U followed by a 6 digit number....although I have see other formats also... :?
The truck of my image only have a number of 5 digit....

Hi Sturm 78,

thank You very much for Your reply. Of course, You are right. But it cannot be a Slovakian vehicle, because the registration plates are totally different: white numbers on a black background. Here three pics of vehicles of the Slovakian army (source of the pics: http://www.ondrejkovics-sandor.com/?lg=1&s=131).

Best regards

Described "2.PD Pionier Bataillon 38"
Looks like a mix of ex-Czechoslovak and ex-Austrian vehicles. That one "OT" photo is very intersting:ex-Austrian Carro L3 and a Czech vz.37...

Hi Jose,

thank You very much for posting these very interesting pics. You are right, that this unit had ex-Czechoslovakian and ex-Austrian vehicles. But I don´t understand Your designation "Carro L 3" and Czech vz. 37.
This division was transferred in spring 1938 from the garrisons in Germany to Austria to Vienna. Maybe the division got some confiscated Austrian vehicles in that time. This division took part in the occupation of the Sudetenland in October 1938. So the field kitchens on Your pic must be captured during this occupation and can only be Czechoslovakian ones.

Regards

Bert

An ex-Austrian Carro Veloce L3/33 (or CV-33) armed with a single Schwarzlosse HMG, and (barely visible) the Czechoslovak "vz.37" bunker, (the last photo) this is not the first post-Anschluss photo with the CV-33 standing by the Czechoslovak fortifications, the second from Bratislava-Petrzalka (Pressburg-Engerau) I posted somewhere in the Czechoslovak fortification thread. But I dont know for what purpose Germans use these ex-Austrian tankettes?

Hi Jose,

thank You very much for Your answer. Sorry, I have no idea about bunkers and only a small knowledge of amored vehicles.
But back to Your pics. I discovered a really very rare vehicle: a Perl L 600. Here another pic of such a truck (source: www.kfzderwehrmacht.de).

Best regards
