And for this time a few of the T26 model.

As I will do from time to time, a few words. I am not an expert in the vehicles of Czechoslovakia, I just have a big interest in them.
I use a lot of sources for photos but due to language considerations, I have not captured very much "data". I will have to rely
on Brano and a few others to sort of "fill in the blanks" with more detailed information. I just bring mainly photos to the thread.

Many of my Tatra photos come from www.tatraportal.sk if you wish to investigate the site yourself.

Great pics as always, Bill!
Here's a curiousity from the web http://www.ecorra.com/en/galerie/preview.php?id_gal=38. Several views of the Tatra V855 snowmobile (ca.1942) based on the T87 body and engine. It was intended for use on the Eastern Front but I apparently this was the only prototype.

Ad. The photo Tatra 855. It is a replica built for a customer in the USA (by Ecorra). The prototype V 855 is located in the museum Tatra Kopřivnice.

Very good, brano. So this would be the same one as the second one in natural metal finish on the site you referenced then.

Thanks Max & Brano for your continued support and contributions.

For this post, the Tatra T27 model. Again, most of the photos are from factory or military archives. I will post more "action" shots later.

The T27 was made in several models and I have a photo of each here.

Tatra T27A
Tatra T27B
Tatra T27B Methane power
Tatra T27BH Holzgas power

And the T28 which I gather was made in just one series.

Hello,
I wasnt here for quite a time, but this eBay.de find pressed me to post. :D
skodarapid.JPG
...well, it is a bit confusing... :? The car is a streamlined (in Czechoslovakia called "dalnicni", which is similar to German "Autobahn") Skoda Rapid 1500 OHV. Skoda made some streamlined cars in mid 30s, these were more "Paul Jaray look" and built mostly for race purposes, but few sold to public... This is a diferent story: the streamlined OHV Rapids were designed in very late 30s-very German looking, like the "Autobahn" Hanomags and Adlers... From most sources- the production was made by German leadership, and none was sold to public, the exact numbers for the productions are unknown too-few dozens? The "stock production" examples were probably used by goverment or police. The car on the photo looks like it has a camo paint, a Notek light, and weird WM-Kriegsmarine plates? :? Since Czechoslovakia didnt have any sea, who knows? :)

Thank you, Jose, for the Skoda photos. Both were new to me. Is the second one a Police vehicle?

Now, on with the Tatra vehicles.

These are variations of the T43 model which was built from 1931 to 1938. Of interest is the use of much larger rear wheels and tyres.

Hello Bill,
for the plates-sorry I dont know much about that but the "PA" code was used by the former Czechoslovak offices in "Bohmen". I dont know if this code was aplied for the local police units "Cetnictvo", which remained in service? Anyway, if it starts with 54 to 58 (see chart) it has probably something to do with a Skoda factory-Mlada Boleslav...

Next up, the T81 model, made in limited numbers from 1939 to 1942. Seems to be only for the military.
