Hi Viktor,
Could that not be an S-65?

Max

I believe it is an S-65. I used this website for comparison http://www.o5m6.de/RussianTractors.html. From photos it seems the S-65 always had a cab (in multiple styles) but the S-65 wasn't always fitted with one.

Hi guys!
Of course there is an S-65 on the picture. The differences betwen the two tractors, S-60 and S-65, are too big to confuse them:

I guess Viktor made a mistake in a hurry, or it is a typo.
BTW, the cab on S-65 couldn't be a recognition point. They were produced with and without cabs either. This explains more or less the wild variety of cabs fitted by the Germans on many captured S-65s.
To clear the things further: the S-65s were fitted with one style factory cab only. All the rest are field mods.

Hi ilfil,

thank You very much for posting these excellent drawings of the S - 60 and S - 65. Now we know the difference.
Here another old-age tractor, a so-called "Artilleriezugauto M 17" - an artillery tractor of the Austrian Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft (source of the pic: an expired ebay auction).

Best regards

Bert
