No doubt Luftflotte is correct about General Friedrich Christiansen. I think the Pz.Sfl.I's belong to Ersatz und Ausbildungs Regiment HG in Holland. Some time ago several pics of this unit (and their AFV's) surfaced on ebay. I wonder where you found these pics (including the two Marder I pics) and if there was any additional info. I went through the current Panzerjäger pics on ebay but I couldn't find them. Anyway thanks for posting these pics.

Thanks in advance Luftflotte. Alan, Thomas Jentz provides a list of 10 official names in PT 7-2 but he uses the term "Pz.Sfl. I" most frequently (this in fact is also an abbreviation of Pz.Sfl. I für 7.62cm Pak 36 (Fgst.Pz.Kpfw.II).... :milwink: ). Both Sd.Kfz.131 and 132 are used as well.

Regards,

Arjan

Arjan, SdKfz 131 was an entirely different vehicle.

You are quite right Alan, still Sd.Kfz.131 is mentioned by Jentz in the third official name (of the ten I mentioned earlier). Page 7-79:
"Pz.Sfl. I für 7.62cm Pak 36 (Sd.Kfz.131) (1Jul 42 by Wa Prüf 6)"

I assume it was a mistake by someone in the Waffen Prüfungsamt and not a typo by Jentz.

By the way I found the ebay pics Luftflotte posted and I even managed to find pics of the barracks in the background of the first two pics (Adolf/Willemkazerne in Amersfoort Holland):

During the occupation they were called "Adolfkazerne", after the liberation they were once more called "Willemkazerne".
