Hi,

thank You, ilfil, for identifying the truck.
Here the next graffiti on a vehicle of the Reichs-Autozug "Deutschland" after its return from Russia to Germany. Interesting the bugs (a plague in Russia) and nice things soldiers were dreaming of in Munich, like a tankard of beer and Bavarian veal sausages.

Regards

Bert

Hi Dirk,
I think you're correct. I believe it's a GMC ACK-353, 1.5-ton, 4x4 probably captured from the French in 1940:

Hi,

let´s go on with the next graffiti with the desire to come home to mum and the anxious question where the unit will be sent to.
"Heim zur Mutti." - "Home to mum."
"Von Warschau nach ... ?" - "From Warsaw to ... ?"

Hi Slava,

thank You very much for posting this interesting pic. Such a graffiti on a tank is unusual.
Here another graffiti on an Opel bus (source of the pic: an expired ebay auction).
Schneidemühl (a German town in Pomerania, now Polish Piła) - Berlin - Hannover
"Herr Chamberlain muss jetzt glauben," - "Mister Chamberlain must think now,"
"dass wir ihm die Ruhe rauben!!" - "that we will rob him the peace!!"

"Wenn der Pole an die Deutsche Wehrmacht" denkt," - "When the pole is thinking about the German Wehrmacht,"
"wackelt ihm das Kniegelenk." - "his knee point is wobbling."
Regards

Hi,

here the next graffiti, also on a bus, but I cannot understand the sense of it.

"Stuka. Kleine Fische" - "Stuka (dive bomber). Small fishes"

Maybe one of You can tell us more about it.

Bert

Hi Max,

thank You very much for posting this interesting graffiti:
"We have no time to be tired! The Alte Fritz
The king Friedrich 2nd of Prussia (Frederick the Great) was also called "der alte Fritz" by the people. Fritz is the pet name of Friedrich (Frederick). He was also called the philosopher on the king´s throne, becaus he was in contact with some philosophers and made many philosophical sayings and slogans. For exampkle this one:
"Wenn meine Soldaten anfingen zu denken, bliebe nicht einer in den Reihen."
"When my soldiers would start thinking, nobody would stay in line."

Best regards
