Hi glushenko,

thanks a lot for posting this special graffiti. That´s great: "Heute Freibier!?" (Today free beer). Interesting the stein with the inscription "HB": that means Hofbräu, a very famous brewery in Munich. Maybe You have heard about the Hofbräuhaus, a must for every tourist in Munich.

Here another graffiti on a snowplough: "Parole Heimat. Westwall" - "Password homeland. Westwall".

Best regards

Bert

Hi Armin,

thanks a lot for posting this pic.
I was thinking a lot of time about this graffiti. The number "69" could be the number of this special truck "Kfz. 69", for a Krupp-Protze (Protzkraftwagen). But what does "JU" mean? Normally it is the abbreviation for "Junkers", planes and engines. Do You have any idea?

Thanks for a reply!

Best regards

Bert

Hi Bert
first I have to say that I do not have any info about this picture and I've never seen the
abreviation Ju for anything else than Junkers. Since it is written in quotation marks it
might be a wordplay on the Ju 87. Maybe they wanted to express that they came
down on the enemy like a Stuka. Your thought that the 69 means Kfz 69 makes sense to me.
The tactical sign depicts a PzSpähKp, but I do not know if they used the Protzwagen.
I hope someone more knowledgeable can enlighten us.

Best regards
Armin

Hi Armin,

thank You very much for Your reply.
The tactical sign depicts a company of the Aufklärungsabteilung (mot), maybe the heavy company. Then it could be the vehicle of the PzAbwZug (motZ) with 3 AT guns or the InfGeschZug (motZ) with 2 light infantry guns.

Not Graffiti but a billboard about "Wehrmacht Day". What does it say, Bert?

Hi Max,

thank You very much for this picture: an interesting promotion for the "Wehrmacht Day":

" A visit to the Panzerjäger (tank destroyers) remains an unforgettable experience.
So, off into the Eberhard-Ludwig-Barracks!"

Here a pic of the former Eberhard-Ludwig-Kaserne in Ludwigsburg near to Stuttgart.
The infantry regiment 13 of the 25th infantry division was stationed there. I think, that the "Panzerjäger" were the 14th company of the regiment, the "Panzerjägerkompanie", the only motorized company of the regiment, and so more interesting than the other units of this regiment.
And two pics of this Wehrmachts Day. (source: Ebay).

Best regards

Bert
