Re: Graffiti on vehicles of the Wehrmacht
Hi,
here another graffiti. This time a Bavarian toast on the door of the right truck:
"Eins. Zwei. Gsuffa (Gesoffen)! - "One. Two. Drunk!"
Regards
Bert

Re: Graffiti on vehicles of the Wehrmacht
Hi Slava,
thank You very much for this pic with a critical graffiti about the rations:
"Not only we pilots (aircraftmen) guzzled this muck (bad food),
also the French men without measuring (that makes no sense, but it is important for the rhyme)."
On the door:
"Minister of rations.
Much chocolate,
little bread."
Under the windscreen:
"We salute the homeland"
Best regards
Bert

Re: Graffiti on vehicles of the Wehrmacht
Hi,
not a real graffiti, but an interesting inscription on this Wehrmacht truck I think:
"A transport of gifts of love on behalf of the Führer into the Sudetenland Christmas 1938".
Regards

Re: Graffiti on vehicles of the Wehrmacht
Hi Raúl,
thanks for posting this interesting pic. The solid crosses remember of the fighting 18 September 1939 in the village Truskow (Polish Truskaw) about 20 kilometers northeast of Warsaw.
Here a new graffiti, this time at the rear of a bus:
"Richtung zur Mutti" - "Direction to mummy"
"Parole Heimat" - "Password homeland"
"Reserve hat Ruh" - "Reserve has rest"
Regards
Bert

Hi Slava,
thank You very much for posting this interesting pic of a Büssing bus.
To the text:
on the cab: "Heim ins Reich" - "Home into the Reich"
on the bumper: "When do You come back, my little airman (aircraftman)."
But I cannot understand and interpret the number 23.
Best regards
Bert

Re: Graffiti on vehicles of the Wehrmacht
Hi,
here two graffitis of the same unit. The soldiers must be glad to come home to their wifes, fiancees or girl-friends in Vienna.
First pic: "Home to Poldi. K.d.F. (Kraft durch Freude) Warsaw - Vienna"
second pic: "Home to Anny! K.d.F. (Kraft durch Freude) Warsaw - Vienna"
K.d.F. = Strength Through Joy (German Civil morale and travel organization).
Regards

This one's interesting. Saw it in another forum. Now sure if this is how all their vehicles look like or they just designed it on this one.

Hi Kevin,
sorry, I cannot answer to Your question.
Here the next graffiti (source: an expired ebay auction):
"Polen und das Reich, kein Vergleich."
"Poland and the Reich, out of all proportion"
"Das kann doch einen Funker nicht erschüttern."
"That cannot shake/distress a radio oprator"
