In the case of ex-french tanks in German service:
Books report that Germany 'captured' a certain number of H-35's (for example) in France.
Does that number include the incompleted hulls that could have been completed?
Where the sPak & sleFH conversions done on tanks that had been in service or tank bodies that were still in the assembly line?
(It seems that more H-35's for example ended up in German service than just the number taken over from the French military at the end of the campaign)

Hello,
Indeed these a Renault R40 tanks (the rear hull is different from a Hotchkiss tank and there is the armor on the wheels).
The gun is the 37mm SA38 and the APX-R1 turret is common to the Hotchkiss H35/39 and Renault R35/39 tanks.
The 2 tanks in the middle have an AMX crossing tail on the rear.
Regards,
David
