Here some "Flaggen und Wimpel" of the former RAD and the RADwJ, (Car pennants).
The flags and pennants carried on the vehicles of that time were also called "Kommandoflagge", or "Stander".
If I am mistaken, I ask for your corrections ?

The forum member Herr Michael Jonas for sure has more information about all this.
