Re: Group photos
Hi,
Interesting photos, the photos showing the large groups of Pz I, II, III, and IV, only the PzIV seem to have armament fitted, none of the rest have, so is this a Panzer Depot (HPzZa) with the vehicles awaiting final completion before issue to units ?
cheers PAUL

Re: Group photos
Hi Paul
sorry I can't tell you neither place, time nor unit of the pictures.
But here are some more pictures of an unit with different panzers and stugs.
Maybe somebody knows more about these pictures.

Hi Armin,
thank You very much for posting these interesting pics.
The second pic shows a "leichte Panzerkompanie a" K.St.N. 1175 from 1st October 1937 from the back:
first row third platoon with three PzKpfw III (431, 432, 433) and fourth platoon with three PzKpfw IV (441, 442, 443),
second row first platoon with three of the five PzKpfw I (412, 413, 414) and two PzKpfw I of the company headquarters (402, 403),
third row the fifth PzKpfw I of the first platoon (415) and the fifth PzKpfw I of the second platoon (425).
The other tanks of this company are not visible or identifiable.

Re: Group photos
Hi Armin, This might be Pz Abt 208. I can't see any unit markings but the vehicle make up of the unit and how the vehicles are kitted out reminds of photos I have of Pz Abt 208.arminfreitag wrote: ↑05 Dec 2020, 22:17Hi Paul

Re: Group photos
Hi
@ Bert
thank you for the explanation. I have 2 more picture of the same scene where you can see 411 a Pz II
like in the charts and also one more PzIV probably from the Ersatzstaffel (40?).
It must be one of the early PzDivs. but I cannot figure out which city it is.
Interesting is also the mix of panzers; 2 Pz III Ausf A and 1Ausf D, 3 Pz IV Ausf A and 1 Ausf B or C.
@ Rich
thank you for your reply. Are you sure it's Pz Abt 208? According to Jentz Panzertruppen the 3 Panzersicherungskompanien
that Pz Abt 208 was created from had Flammpanzer III, Pz IV and Pz III Ausf N but no Stug. So where do the stugs come from?
Regards
Armin

You are correct - I went to the unit history and they were no Stug III ever attached to the unit. Can't identify the unit from that distance.

Re: Group photos
Hi Sturm,
noticed these too, there is (at least) one interesting thing: standard Horch 830R Kfz.17, and behind this probably a Horch 830BL "Kfz.17" Umbau. Also the second Horch 830BL "Pritsche" Umbau-these were mostly used as artillery tractors?
And a SdKfz 251/4 with a SIG-33?
