Could it be the anti tank-round from a 6-pounder gun ?
I am not a specialist but it can be.

Hello Hein.
I would not have thought a 6 pounder would have the power to penetrate a Porsche KT on the side of it's turret. I'm no expert, but I thought the 6 pounder shell was only about 57milimetres wide, and the armour on the side of Porsche KT was about 80 milimetres thick, and sloped.
Am I mistaken?

It's very close indeed, the 6 pd gun penetrated just a bit more than 100mm armor at 500 meters, the Porsche KT turret side had about the the same vertical equivalent protection so I say,it's not unimageable that a 6pd with L/52 caliberl could penetrate it at short range.davethelight wrote:Hello Hein.

I thought the max penetration for a British 57mm gun was 78mm?davethelight wrote:Hello Hein.
