France - Summer 1940.
Tank B1 bis ECLAIR .
The B1 bis Eclair belonged to the 8. BCC and participated in the fighting in the Oise sector from 17 to 19 May 1940. Abandoned due to mechanical failures around Deheries on May 19, 1940. The tank commander was Lieutenant Gandois.

France - Summer 1940.
Tank B1 bis FAIDHERBE.
The B1 bis Faidherbe belonged to 46. BCC; on the afternoon of May 19, 1940 together with the B1 bis Maréchal Petain was given the mission of advancing on the towns of d'Athies-sous Laon and Chambry. The Marechal Petain returned without problems but the Faidherbe bogged down while making a turn and had to be abandoned by its crew. The tank Commander was the Lieutenant René Kressmann.

France - Summer 1940.
Tank B1 bis HANOÏ.
The B1 bis Hanoï belonged to the 348e CACC, when on May 25, 1940 along with five other tanks arrived to Mourmelon in order to take part in the battle of Abbeville. On June 4, 1940 the Hanoï fell into a ditch near Bienfay and the tank commander, Aspirant Vigouroux d'Arvieux was killed.

The B1 bis Bombarde belonged to battalion 8/15. On June 4, 1940 it took part in the attack on Abbeville. It cleans the wood of Villers and continues its advance up to about two hundred meters from the road of Abbeville south of Caubert. There it was hit by German artillery and its steering system Naeder was damaged. Maneuvering with difficulty, the tank could reach own lines. The BOMBARDE followed the withdrawal of the division but should be abandoned at Bresles on June 10, 1940 due to its damage. The tank Commander was Sous-Lieutenant Hans.

France - Summer 1940.
Tank B1 bis ATHOS.
The tank B1 bis Athos belonged to the 1. / 46. BCC. On May 17, 1940, after the attack on Moncornet, retreated to the assembly area: Bucy-lès-Pierrepont, arriving that very night. At 21:00 hours, attack of light elements: motorcycles with sidecars, light armored vehicles; the enemy attack was repulsed by the Athos, but the tank ran out of fuel. In the first light of May 18, 1940, around 4 or 5 in the morning, the enemy is no longer in Bucy.
Isolated, with no contact with the company, the crew decided to abandon the tank and set it on fire. The Drain valves of fuel were opened, but the tank did not catch fire from lack of fuel. The crew continued on foot. The Tank commander was Adjudant-chef Louis Poupenez.

Tank B1 bis BOURRASQUE.
The tank B1 bis Bourrasque belonged to the 1. / 15. BCC. During the fighting around Moncornet on May 16, 1940, several tanks of the 15. BCC were damaged. Four damaged tanks, regrouped around the Bourrasque that was in good condition. By nightfall, the fuel tanks were almost empty. Therefore two armored were sabotaged: the Martinique and the Aquitaine. The Bourrasque towed the other two Toulon and Tempête.
On the morning of May 17, 1940 at 06:00 hours the French tanks met a truck full of German soldiers. A shot of the 47 mm cannon destroyed the truck and the enemy soldiers were scattered with machine gun fire.
But the Bourrasque ran out of fuel. The other crews transferred the fuel and then the Bourrasque marched south towards Pargny looking for resupply.
Pargny was exceeded and the Bourrasque met the Armored Brigade Nedwig (1. Pz) coming towards the Oise. The French tank opened fire on the column of the Kradsch. Btl 1 marching towards Mortiers. In Mortiers reacted a battalion of the PR 1 which opened up with cannons against the Bourrasque until it succumbed due to lack of fuel and several impacts of 37 mm and some of 75 mm.
At 11:15 hours, without ammunition, the crew surrendered and was captured by the Germans. The tank Commander was the Lieutenant Sauret.
