Hello to all ; something more................
France - Summer 1940.
Tank B1 bis MISTRAL.
The tank B1 bis Mistral belonged to the 3. / 15e BCC. On May 17, 1940 the Mistral with the Tunisie carried out a raid on Landrecies, destroying the spearhead of a German armored division composed of reconnaissance vehicles. Both French tanks spent the night at Ors. On May 18, 1940 at 10:00 hours ensued a struggle between German armor and French anti-tank guns east of Ors. Both B1 bis tanks were committed to cover the road of Pommereuil. At the end of the day Wasigny was evacuated. The Sous lieutenant André Raiffaut assumed command of the Mistral. At night a column of three B1 bis (including Mistral) left Wasigny. On the morning of May 19, 1940 the Mistral was ambushed at the entrance of Le Catelet. The Mistral was hit and suffered a huge explosion ............Its first commander was Lieutenant Jean Pompier.

- Disabled Pz Kw III (Ausf G?) from PR 33, part of the 9 Panzer Division which took part in combats around Kiev and Uman, Ukraine. This tank took a hit on its side armor panel and as result a cross with the name of a KIA crew member can be seen there. (Feldwebel Kruger, 2/Panzer Regiment 33).

Re: destroyed and battle damaged AFV photos
Markus, That antenna pennon does indeed lok retouched to me. Also, why is the tank fitted with the desert sand shields and painted in "sand" but surrounded by 1940 France type Germans ? The car in the background certainly looks like a photomontage as well.

I'm really surprised, Sd.Kfz.251/10 Ausf.B with PaK and with four launchers. I guess this is field modification and I never saw such mix. Very interesting for modellers, two kits in oneSturm78 wrote:A SdKfz 251-10 with s. WG 40

Hello to all ; something more..................
France - Summer of 1940.
After three days of a erratic travel due to counter-orders, the convoy with the tanks FCM 2C of the BCC 51, was forced to stop due to the damage suffered in the tracks by one aerial bombardment about 50 kms short of the Neufchateau station.
The train was immobilized on a curve with small embankments that prevented the unloading of the tanks. A train loaded with fuel was burning ahead and another train stopped behind done the escape impossible. On June 16, 1940 at 19:00 hours the remaining six tanks were disabled in order to avoid its capture without seen combat.
