Re: Soft Skin Vehicle Photo Repository
Looks to me like a 1 1/2 tonner with an MSW body as used by perhaps the Police or as a crew truck for the LW.

Re: Soft Skin Vehicle Photo Repository
Hello Bill/Sturm
I think that is a question for me
This is a real typical fire servise car. It´s a KzS8 Kraft-Zug- Spritze. Normal they tows a trailer with a portable pump a
TSA 8.
the truck transport the fire servise crew and less equipement, and 2 ladder on the sides.
In earlier times they were on 1 Tonner Opel/ MB with a open cap. This example is a later 1,5 Tonner with closed caps.
They were used in all Fire service local feuerlöschpolizei or in the SHD ( Sicherheits und Hilfs Dienst) of the WL.
best regards
Henning

Re: Soft Skin Vehicle Photo Repository
Hi Henning:
MSW=Mannschaftswagen which I believe means something like crew transport or personnel transport in English.

Thank you very much for your help, Bill and Henning.
Here another interesting (although blurry) image from Ebay.
I think Büssing-NAG Type 550 truck towing a 8.8cm Flak 18 gun

Hi all,
Two images of Ford M1940 truck in german service. I think they are not of german origin because cabs, fenders and other details not match with the german Ford V3000

Re: Soft Skin Vehicle Photo Repository
Hi Sturm:
I copied the same photos today.
The seller indicates the photos come from Rumania/Romania and somewhere in the dark corners of my memory I think I remember saving some photos of Fords ordered by their armed forces. Certainly, the cab is not something one usually sees on Fords produced in Germany but are fairly typical for that part of Eastern Europe.
For the moment, I am considering them as Rumanian/Romanian Fords, maybe military, maybe beute civilian models.
