A year or so ago I was perusing a book about the SS and it showed a picture of a kubelwagen abondoned on a rublle strewn russian street. The neat details about the picture was a rifle broken at the wrist laying on the ground next to the dead driver - goggles still on his face whom was half in half out of the vehicle that had SS plates.Anyone else see that remarkable post combat picture ?.

off topic a bit:
also i came across this licence plate in a couple of pics, this one is a car with hitler in it-pre war, the other pic (not posted) is a motorcycle, with an "E" instead of the "A" on hitlers pic.

I am saving all the pictures in a separate server, remember, this is a work in progress:

http://community.webshots.com/album/146901125YPcbZZ (pt I)
http://community.webshots.com/album/359563467nBcaEG (pt II) link added july 2005
http://community.webshots.com/album/164083005bLBknP (pt III) link added feb 2005

As today (may 28, 2004) only pictures and numbers are saved, all concerning data regarding credit, location, etc will be added little by little, as sometimes there is conflicting info regarding copyrights and more important to us date, unit and location of vehicles..

the file is organized in an ascending format

best regards

Regarding the license plate, do you have the rest of the plate, with the measurements for 'a'. 'b', etc?

Cheers

Hi guys.

Just wanted to say that I found images of some vehicles that I posted the plate numbers to earlier.
All SS-Pz.Aufkl.Abt.11 and found at missing-lynx forum.
Warning!! Some of the pictures on the following link show fallen personell.
http://www.network54.com/Forum/thread?f ... 1058697809

Here are also direkt links to the pictures in question.

SS-901366

Sorry for not posting it in my original post. Thought that people who are interested might miss it then.

A little of topic. On the following thread are three pictures showing vehicles of SS-Pz.Aufkl.Abt.11. No plates readable/visible.
