This Bf 109E-4 sitting in its revetment in France belongs to Oberleutnant Heinz Ebeling, Staffelkapitän of 9/JG 26.
And in front of the Emil: a Horch Kfz.11 ... :)
After german forces occupied the Channel islands, Bf 109s were based at La Villiaze Airfield, Guernsey. This Bf 109E-4 of II/JG 53 Pik As is being refueled by J.H. Miller Ltd.
Well it's some truck...

Major Josef `Pips` Priller arrives in his BMW roadster (BMW 327 ?) for a mission in his BMW powered Fw 190A-5! Priller was a rather short, jovial man who achieved fame as one of only two pilots to attack the Aliied invasion forces on `D-Day, 6 June 1944.
Priller and his "Katschmarek" flew very low towards the coast, unnoticed by hundreds of allied fighters above, attacked at "sword" between the 2nd and 3rd wave and survived to tell the story... 8O

(...there's a nice scene of this in the film "the longest day" ...)

...these Luftwaffe officers really had nice cars....
