thanks for the interesting link. And for the first car in Danzig/Gdansk, were the long wheelbase "Imperial" Chevrolets made in GM Poland-Lilpop Rau Loewenstein factory too?

I have just got another Admiral umbau photo, and one of the clearest, just a pity the one behind does not match!

Hi Jose:

Well, if you speak of the car in your photo and if it is a fact that the photo was taken in Gdansk, I think we can reasonably say that the car was built by Lilpop-Rau.

I have not investigated this particular car as much as I perhaps should have, but I believe that the total number of Chevrolet Imperial cars probably is in the range of less than 1,000 over the years it was produced. I have photos in my data base of Chevrolet Imperial vehicles dating back to 1934 and up to 1939.

As I said earlier, it was not a model that was identified as an Imperial here in the US, but was sold here as a taxi.
I have to leave the Forum now, but I will try to give you more information if you wish it on this specific vehicle.

Amischlitten duo. Some biggy with elaborate tail lights but no hood louvres to speak of (Studebaker according to the seller) and a Buick.
