Bill:
Your first is a Morris CS8
Second is a very unusual pair. I believe the first is definitely British and probably the second. Cannot ID the first, but the second could be a Fordson. If not it is probbly a French Peugot.
Third is a Morris C8, successor to the CS8
Will revert when I have better answers on the others.
Cheers
Bill

Hi Sander:

Your second picture is most likely a Thornycroft WZ/TC4/
Your third photo is actually a Canadian CMP I think a 15-CWT. I can never tell the Fords from the Chevs unless I see the front grille but it is one or the other. The photo is well known so maybe I can find something on it elsewhere.
Keep them coming.

Morning Sander:

As to your armoured vehicle, I have tagged that as a Bedford from the beginning but there seems to be no consensus with others. For me they are Bedfords and will remain so. I think Rolf agrees
and he knows a lot more about British vehicles than I do.

For Rolf: What the hell is that thing in your last photo? I know it is a water carrier of some sort but cannot figure out what vehicle.

Morris Commercial

Post by cmpnorge » 04 Jul 2005 20:59

Bill
I am quite sure it is a Morric Commercial CS8 on my last photo.
You can se it has a split axel, and the little you see of the front fender, shows it ends much higher than on Bedford and Ford WOT..

The armoured ones, I also agree that they are Bedfords, you can se the banjo axels ....

Greate photo of GMC Sander!
Here si another US vehicle..

Carrier

Post by cmpnorge » 05 Jul 2005 19:04

Franzl
Greate photos agaian!
Notice how the side armour has been cut so it "slopes down" to the reare..

Here is another Carrier. Don't know much abouth weapons but isn't this a 37 mm on top of it?

But where is all the photos of Morris Commercials and umbau CMP's?? I have a few CMP's and one of them would love to be restored as an umbauwagen like one of the F15's in the start of this topic. My Morris Commercial, has not dessided yet what she want....
