Surely lend lease vehicles were not issued to Russia with British army Census numbers ?
Seems more likely a German captured BEF vehicle , however surprised that they left these markings on this late , unless it's in France still and recently captured?

Have nice German picture of a Russian Matilda captured in Lituania. The WD census number is there and the stencils in Russian are also well visible.
This is one example only, the pictorial evidences most of the British hardware was delivered to the USSR with the original WD numbers are many.
