Hi Max,
I reckon you have it nailed, the wings/boot/bumper are a match for the SS 1. Very clearly a valued photo.

Yes, it is certainly rarer than an MG. It would make a fine addition to your collection if it is still available on ebay.de. Thanks again for your ID.

Hi,
No idea the letters KR or KB but the vehicle belongs to the medical unit of the 164 Infantry Division.

Paul, The more I look at this the more I see a painted over Artillerie Tactical sign on the other mudguard. Is it just my imagination ?

Certainly has that general look of a German artillery sign, but surely is much more likely to be a painted over British sign, given the vehicles origins..
