Re: ► Photothread: Vehicles with unit markings
Hi,
One can see the Wappen(TKZ) of an Signal-Unit of the Luftwaffe.
The signe is knownen but not yet decrypted.
The meaning of the sign is the symbol triode-electron tube which is in
Amplifiers. The flashes are the sign for the radio message-
Transmission. The I.Abt. is designated by the Roman one (I).
The tri-latitude for three, could be reduced to a unit with the Regulations No. 3 regards Dieter

A Wehrmacht convoy in Crimea, late 1944, Sevastopol bound:
I just wonder is this a unit emblem or simply a joke with the number '8'?

Hi Bert,
And thanks for that! Well, let it be Katze, not Acht. Or they were acht Katzen back then in the 98. ID?
Cheers!

Re: ► Photothread: Vehicles with unit markings
Hi Everyone,
I've just found this topic and seen many interesting unit markings in the posts. Especially LW and infantry markings were new for me. The last LW marking - triode with lightnings - is really cool.
If you don't mind, I share two markings below. Does anyone know what they mean? Unit markings? Something else?
1. Dark (maybe black) "A" in a light (white?) circle (on a Jagdpanther). 2. Heart (red or green) with six (light, maybe white) arrows (I've only seen it on a Panzerjaeger Wanze in Berlin but there's two of this marking on Bison's decal sheet 35072 without any information. The sheet is for various halftracks and tanks, so I think this marking is not a single Panzerjaeger's one.) Many thanks for any info in advance!

Re: ► Photothread: Vehicles with unit markings
This Panzer III with what appears to be a wild boar head on its turret side appeared on a television programme so I took a screen shot of it, does anyone know the unit ?

Re: ► Photothread: Vehicles with unit markings
Hello folks,
I have this posted on another forum, seeking the identity of the general featured. Unfortunately it has not been possible to id, but there is a suggestion that identifying the unit marking would help. Please can somebody identify the emblem, an armoured fist striking down to the left, almost like a rotated GvB SS emblem.
Thank you,
Kerry.

Re: ► Photothread: Vehicles with unit markings
How about 78. Infanterie- or Sturmdivision emblem from a reverse negative https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fichier:7 ... ision_.svg Maybe the big honcho drove his own staff car. At least he looks right-handed when mirrored. Maybe Hans Traut who was a RK bearer and 78. Sturm-Division commander.
