Neubaufahrzeug - Norway 1940.

During Operation Weserübung in Norway was engaged in combat the "Panzerzug Horstmann". The tanks had the numbers 8, 9 and 10. The vehicle number 9 had the additional sign "Z" and the number 10 the additional sign "R", as well as the nickname "Jumbo". The armored Platoon bore the nickname "Elefantengeschwader". For that reason the tanks had painted in its front a white elephant's head ....................................

I have not come across previously the WH / OT marking with a '1' suffix to the OT as here.

I do not think that the "1" belongs to the "OT" sign
This is rather the well-known numbering of the
Vehicles of a unit. Only this time on the wrong side
