I could also be a Panzer II from the 3. Panzerdivision. This Div used the same symbol until 1940.

On another note: can anyone make out the unit marking of this vehicle?

Re: Vehicles with unit markings
Luftflotte, The signs for 3 PD in 1940 and 20 PD were identical so where ever you got that nice colour pic of the sign has just made it look different no more than that.

Re: Vehicles with unit markings
Thanks, but the question arises: why would two different units use the same symbol?Alanmccoubrey wrote:Luftflotte, The signs for 3 PD in 1940 and 20 PD were identical so where ever you got that nice colour pic of the sign has just made it look different no more than that.

I remember seeing this unit emblem before but I can't remember. It was something to do with Moscow....

Re: Vehicles with unit markings
I'm trying to ID the unit these SdKfz 8's (or 7's) belonged to. According to the tactical symbol, it is a Batterie 21cm Werfer 18 (motZ). The unit sign is a dark shield with a light (white?) cross with a thinner cross in a slightly contrasting colour superimposed. I've tried to find the symbol, but with no result.

Thanks in advance,
Björn
