I thought that marking is reversed considering that the fish is other way round than at the fender. In that case there reads DJ!?

Hi,
The fish design was used by the 35th Infantry Division.

It is possible that "DJ" or "JD" is the German for Infantry Division, but its been painted the wrong way round on the windscreen.

Hi,
Does anyone know who is buried here or recognize the markings on this Tatra 27 Hearse, apparently somewhere in Russia 1941?
Thanks,
Kees

Kees, that is a Luftwaffe vehicle so you might try looking at their insignia rather than army ones.

Thanks, that's a good remark. I tried http://www.rc-network.de/magazin/artike ... 43-01.html
but this rectangular logo I was unable to discover. Will try further though.

Found this image of a beute Hotchkiss H38 is on eBay.de and was wondering about the marking on the forward hull in front of the turret that looks like a six pointed star. Anyone know if this is a unit emblem? Thanks, Chris

Here is a wider picture of this car. Still no idea on the unit.

It might be a very elaborate version of the early war 78th Infantry Division.

Thanks for identifying that sign PzIII, there was an album with several other PzJgrABt photographs and I was unable to find the division from the sign.

Thanks Alan. That album had many good pics in it. This was the best one showing the unit insignia.

Phänomen 1500A and Mercedes Lo 2500 of the 330th Infantry Division. The background of the Mercedes is the Kharkov Gosprom.

I should correct the previous, it is the 294 Infantry Division. http://www.wwiidaybyday.com/

What unit? Is Schreibstube another word for HQ?

Schreibstube 2 503 is the office, 2. Kompanie, InfRgt 503. Here all the paperwork was done. The Regiment belonged to the 290.InfDiv and saw action between 1941-45 at Demjansk, Wolchow, Newel and Kuirland.
