Hi Rich and Bill,
Thanks for filling in the blanks on that one. BTW Rich, it's still your turn in the barrel over at our Non-Armoured Vehicles Quiz.

No worrries, Rich. In fact it's good to hear that your business is doing so well in this lackluster global economy. We are all just eagerly anticipating the imposing challenge you will no doubt put forward to us!

Hi Max
Do you have any more info on the Bussing-Nag 500 S you posted on the 17th. That unit insignia does not appear in any of my references and I cant make out the license plate. I would love to see the markings on the door for more info.
Thanks
Rich

Re: Photothread: Vehicles with unit markings
I think the license is WH. The marking on the door has been labeled as a flak unit (battalion?) but I haven't identified it yet. There is a dull looking symbol for signal company below the arrow marking. I don't know much about unit organization so I can't really make sense of it.

My best guess is an unit of Luftgau 'Moskau' (more or less confirmed by the number plates, on the second truck it is well visible).
"...and on the 8th day He made truck so that man, made on 7th day, had shelter when woman threw him out for the night."

Thank you, ilfil. So that must be a stylized drawing of the Kremlin. Unfortunate for them they never reached it.
